Welcome to the City Library. You are now on the ground floor.

At the information desk, you can receive help to obtain a library card, search for books, or find your way around the building. You can borrow and return books at the book terminal, or you can collect items that you have ordered. You can reserve items on Gotlib and choose which library you would like to collect them from. You can borrow and return items at any of the public libraries in the City of Gothenburg.

If you wish to use the library’s WiFi system, you can connect to the ‘goteborgfree’ network which is an open network and doesn’t require a log-in.

Toilets are available on all the floors.

Here on the ground floor you will also find popular books that are available on seven-day loan. Make sure you check out the City Library ‘Staircase Stage’, which has regular talks and other events. Check the Calendar to see the schedule.
