ABOUT THE APP

Everyone can use the app, but to log in and use all functionalities you need a library card from a Gothenburg library. If you do not have a library card, you can get one at any library in Gothenburg. Take your ID-card or passport with you. You can also create a temporary library card (website in Swedish): https://www.gotlib.goteborg.se/selfreg*swe. With a temporary card you can make reservations, but you cannot loan anything.

If you lose your card you have to deactivate it immediately. You can deactivate it 24/7 by calling 031-368 34 34. You are responsible for everything that is loaned out with you card – even if it was used by unauthorized persons. Guardians are responsible for the card of underage patrons and its use.

The lending history is not saved unless activated via our catalogue (www.gotlib.goteborg.se > My account). If you choose to activate this function, it will save your lending history from that point onwards.

PRIVACY IN THE APP

We do not request or save more personal details than those you registered with us when you got your library card.

If you do not use your library card for 3 years, your card, name, personal number and all other personal number will be deleted.
