Here there are works of fiction and non-fiction in more than 60 languages. The most spoken languages in Gothenburg can be found in the middle of the shelves beside the long table with computers. The languages are arranged in alphabetical order.

If you would like to learn a new language, there are language courses and dictionaries that you can borrow. There are also several language courses that can be borrowed online.

At the library, there are language meetings and help is available with homework each week. Ask us or check the Calendar.

If you want to learn Swedish, there is an Easy Swedish Department where you can borrow easy reading books and textbooks in Swedish. You can also take part in a reading circle to practice your language skills or to discuss novels in your native language.
